Welcome to Johnnyland, a photography studio and working farm in the Northern Rivers. This land has been passed down through generations, our family first purchased the property in 1902. Johnny (usually just John) is a sugarcane and cattle farmer who has dedicated his life to caring for this land, continuing in his family’s footsteps. In March 2023, he opened the gates for his daughter, Kate, to share this special place with the creative community.

The property features open paddocks, roaming livestock, and a beautiful forest, creating endless possibilities for creative projects. With expansive space and varied landscapes, it’s an ideal setting for capturing everything from intimate moments to large scale visuals. During your booking, you’ll have access to the entire property excluding the residential dwellings.
The Studio.
Nestled in the heart of Johnny’s land, the photography studio is filled with natural light, high ceilings, and polished concrete flooring. The studio has a scenic farm view with four roller doors. The studio measures 10m x 6.8m, with an additional covered area outside, providing ample space for creative teams to work and relax while on set. It comes fully equipped with everything necessary for photoshoots and serves as an excellent base for any creative team.
Location.
The property is located on Pottsville Road in Mooball, situated in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales. It is conveniently located only thirty minutes away from both Byron Bay and Coolangatta. Access to the studio is hassle-free with tarred and gravel roads and is suitable for all types of vehicles.
